At the table

Het is nog vroeg, maar bij ons hangen inmiddels de eerste kerstdecoraties; de lampjes rondom onze grote spiegel en een klein hartvormig kersthangertje aan onze buffetkast. Ook ben ik weer volop oude (kerst) tijdschriften (Country Livings/Ariadnes/Jeanne d'Arc Living/Country Homes & Interiors, Delicious) om mij heen aan het verzamelen, om ideeën op te doen voor onze kersttafel. Ik verheug mij nu al op het uitproberen (en proeven) van al die lekkere recepten die ik tegenkom! Ook het versieren van de tafel is voor mij een van de hoogtepunten. Op het internet heb ik alvast wat inspiratie opgedaan. Ik ben benieuwd wat jullie van deze prachtige tafels vinden! Zelf combineer ik het liefste oud met nieuw serviesgoed. Het ene jaar hou ik alles spierwit. De afgelopen jaren veel grijs met wit en zilver. In een van mijn volgende berichtjes laat ik jullie een paar foto's zien.

It is a bit early, but yesterday I already put up some of the Christmas decorations; the fairylights around our large mirror in the dining room and a little heart shaped hanger on the dresser. I am also gathering christmas magazines around me for ideas(december numbers of Country Living, Ariadne, Jeanne d'Arc Living, Country Homes & Interiors). I already look forward to trying out and tasting all the delicious recipes I come upon. For me one of the hightlights is decorating the table. As you can see below I found some inspiration on the internet. What do you think of these beautiful tables? I always try to combine old and new china. Sometimes I even combine different patterns. As long as the colours match. One year I decorated the table in pure white. The other year I combined shades of grey and soft green with white. I will show you some photo's in one of my next posts.
